Things to Do

Hosting local and nationally acclaimed musicians in a 1930s movie palace, the Granada Theater is independently owned and a Dallas landmark. Since its opening in 1946, the theater has hosted everything from Gone With the Wind to Willie Nelson and Adele to weddings. With modern amenities and an Art Deco style, the Granada was renovated in 2020, restoring the original paint colors of the hand-painted murals and highlighting original details. A unique location for any occasion, the theater hosted more than 2,500 private concerts and events as of 2021.

Five miles to the northeast of Dallas, the 1,015-acre city lake named White Rock Lake is one of the most popular parks in Dallas, hosting several competitive runs and special events.
